As an important part of our services, we may share certain information such as location, educational history, work background, and skills with potential employers and partners to facilitate employment opportunities. In addition, we may use aggregated and anonymized data for analytical purposes to enhance our services and user experience. We may send you relevant updates, newsletters, and promotional materials based on your preferences.

Data Security

COPPA

We are in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Our services are generally not intended for children under the age of 13.  Except as specifically noted, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us, and we will take steps to delete such information.  
 
For any of our services where we may interact with children under the age of 13, in compliance with COPPA, we require verifiable parental consent before collecting, using, or disclosing personal information from children under 13. Each of these parental consent forms has additional information about a particular project or service. This includes more information about the types of personal information collected from students, the purposes of collection, how data is used and shared, and the retention period for collected data. Parents and guardians may withdraw their consent at any time. 

If we determine that a user is under the age of 13, and no verifiable parental consent has been obtained, we will promptly delete any such information. A parent or legal guardian may also request the following at any time: (1) a description of the types of personal information we have collected from a child; (2) the opportunity to refuse to permit our further use of, or future online collection of, the child’s personal information and to direct us to delete the child’s personal information; and (3) a means of reviewing personal information we have collected from the child.

Please include: (a) the child’s name/username, (b) the parent/guardian’s name and contact information, and (c) the request you are making (review, delete, or stop further collection/use). We will take reasonable steps to verify that the requestor is the child’s parent or legal guardian, using available technology, and we will not require a process that is unduly burdensome.

Cookies: You can adjust your browser to control cookies to require your affirmative acceptance for new cookies, automatically reject cookies and/or delete or disable existing cookies. How you do so depends on the type of cookie and the browser that you are using. For more information on how to control browser cookies, click here. If information about your browser is not available through this page, please search your browser for instructions about how to opt-out of cookie collection. Some browsers have “do not track” features that allow you to tell a website not to track you. These features are not all uniform. We do not currently respond to those signals.
